Letter from James Middleton, Nichol to Andrew Geddes, Hamilton re: Jasper Gilkison's new address for writing him about Elora, June 10, 1842. 1842.

Letter speaks of the operation of setting up the first "established school" in Elora. It covers where the land came from and the two structures on that land. J. Middleton was appointed first Education Commissioner from Elora, based upon the Education Act of 1841 in Ontario.
